Media Statement WELKOM – Thato Tumahole was last seen on 10 May 2024 when she left home in Welkom. Efforts to locate her at friends were unsuccessful as she was nowhere to be found. After a thorough investigation, the boyfriend was arrested for kidnapping on 16 May 2024 at 15:30, and he appeared in the Welkom Magistrate’s Court on Monday 20 May 2024. The case against the 22-year-old boyfriend was postponed until 27 May 2024 for bail application. The search for Thato Tumahole continues. We have taken note of sensitive information that has been shared on social media. We cannot confirm or deny allegations that Thato Tumahole has passed on.
