Media Statement by the Ministry of Police The efforts by the South African Police Service (SAPS) to expand the footprint of law enforcement in areas with high crime volumes continue, this time in the Limpopo province. Police Minister, General Bheki Cele and the management of the SAPS, led by the National Commissioner of the SAPS, General Fannie Masemola will on Monday, 20 May 2024, handover two police stations to service communities of Muyexe and Bolobedu in the Mopani District. The opening of the two police stations is in line with government’s commitment to provide policing services in high-density areas and bring policing services closer to communities. Members of the media are invited to attend both events that will unfold as follows:
