Media Statement POLOKWANE – The members of the South African Police Service in Dennilton under Sekhukhune District have intensified the manhunt of unknown suspects who murdered a 71-year-old male victim at his residence in Moteti, Masakaneng village on Wednesday, 08 May 2024 at about 13:45. Police received a complaint about the deceased who has not been seen for a period of two weeks and drove to his residence. Upon arrival, police found a woman who introduced herself as a relative of the deceased who is her brother-in-law and informed them that the doors of the house were locked with keys inside. The dining room door was broken to gain entry inside the house that was searched and subsequently found the victim lying on the floor in the second bedroom. The elderly male victim was reportedly wearing a blue short sleeve T-shirt and long track pants without shoes. The deceased’s hands were tied with a steel wire, while his legs were tied with a white dirty bandage and a brown cloth around his neck. Upon further investigation, police discovered that the window of the bedroom was broken by the suspects to gain access to the house. The members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned at the scene and declared a 71 year-old male dead on their arrival.
