Media Statement POLOKWANE – The Detectives at Phalaborwa Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit have launched an investigation after unknown suspect in Namakgale policing precinct raped a 16-year-old girl on Saturday, 04 May 2024 around midnight. According to the report, the victim boarded a taxi with a friend at Lulekani policing area to Majeje village in Namakgale, but the transport dropped them off before they could reach their destination, and they had to walk. Suddenly, two unknown men approached them, and one produced a firearm. The victim’s friend managed to escape, and the armed suspect dragged her to the bushes where he raped her.
