Media Statement POLOKWANE – The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has lauded the swift arrest of suspect responsible for the murder of a 44-year-old woman on 02 May 2024 at Mahlakung Informal Settlement in Lephalale. The Zimbabwean national male, Samson Mphofu, 55, was arrested on the same day in Mahlakung following an intelligence driven operation by the local detectives. He appeared before Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Friday and his case was postponed until 10 May 2024 for formal bail application The deceased, identified as Lantinana Molwantoa was found lying on the streets in the early hours after she was shot by unknown suspect. According to the information, the suspect and deceased were in a relationship. The motive behind the killing is currently unknown but domestic violence cannot be ruled out.
