POLOKWANE – Thohoyandou police have launched an intensive manhunt on suspects who committed house robbery at Dhoveni village, Thohoyandou policing area, Vhembe District on Tuesday, 16 April 2024. Reportedly, the victim was asleep alone at home, when he heard people’s voices ordering him to open. Suddenly, three suspects forced entry into his room and tied his hand with a robe. It is further reported that one suspect, armed with a firearm, robbed him of his cellphone and remained with him in the room, while two suspects went out and damaged the motor vehicle which was outside. The victim managed to untie the robe and escape seeking help from the neighbours leaving the suspects at the crime scene. The police were notified, and on arrival at the scene, the suspects had already fled, and a house robbery case was opened. The police are requesting anyone who has information on the incident to report to Investigating Officer Sergeant Makuvhele Vutomi on 072 0244 024, crime stop number 08600 10111, the nearest police station, or share information on MySAPSApp.
