Media Statement POLOKWANE – SAPS Limpopo TACJOC Communications and Liaison Officer, Sergeant Tsietsi Lamola, embarked on a radio awareness campaign about illegal mining and its environmental impact on the community. On Monday 15 April 2024 at about 17:10 Sergeant Tsietsi Lamola participated in a radio interview at Radio Turf Studio, during a crime talk slot called “Ontome tsebe”, which aims to raise awareness on illegal mining. Sergeant Lamola was hosted by Mr Tshepho Mojaki in which the following fundamental issues were outlined
The message flows with the theme “Stop Illegal Mining, If you see something, SAY something….. Illegal Mining is a crime!” Listeners were encouraged to report illegal mining and any other criminal activities to the police by using Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or alternatively forward anonymous tip-off to MySAPSApp, or to report to the nearest Police Station.
