Police in Apel investigate cases of murder and an inquest after the lifeless of mother and daughter discovered at Mohlaletse Village

POLOKWANE – The Police Detectives at Apel are investigating cases of murder and an inquest, after the lifeless body of a 35-year-old woman and her daughter aged 6, were discovered at their residence on Tuesday, 02 April 2024 at about 09:45 in Mohlaletse village under Apel policing area in Sekhukhune District.

According to information, the Police were summoned to the scene. On their arrival, they found a lifeless body of a woman hanging behind the house and another body of a child was found on the bed.

The Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene, and the victims were pronounced dead.

Their identities will be released in due course.

The Police have opened cases of murder and inquest.

Circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.

The Police investigations are ongoing.
