Duo nabbed for possession of drugs

NORTH WEST – Two suspects both aged 25 were arrested in the Mogwase area on 20 March 2024 on charges of possession of drugs during a disruptive operation.

This happened when the Rustenburg based Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation team in collaboration with Phokeng K9 and Rustenburg Highway patrol executed search warrants in the area.

At a house at Rasepane Section, Moruleng, a search warrant was executed and during the search, the team found and seized 27 packets of nyaope wrapped in small brown packets and two full moons of cocaine cut into five pieces to the total value of R11000-00.

The team proceeded to Mogwase Ext 8 where during the execution of a search warrant, 12 packets of nyaope wrapped in small plastic bags were found as well as 318 various sized bags of dagga to the total value of R3000 – 00 were found and seized.

The duo is expected to appear before Mogwase Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 22 March 2024 on charges of possession of drugs.
