Media Statement RITAVI – The South African Police Services in Ritavi in partnership with the local Community Policing Forum (CPF) and the Department of Justice represented by National Prosecution Authority, Greater Tzaneen Municipality and Private Security conducted a door-to-door campaign on Wednesday 13 March 2024 at JB Village as part of build-up events for the upcoming GBVF awareness campaign. The campaign was led by Sector Commander Sergeant Mapimele I, Greater Tzaneen Municipality representatives led by Mr Ndlala N, Community Prosecutor Initiative Ms Ngobeni MG, CPF Secretary Mokhalabone PM and Tresuser Mr Khosa GM, Ward 18 councillor Mr Mkansi and his ward committee members, CSF represented by Mrs Mabuza G and Private Security Companies under Ritavi policing area. During the campaign the members went from door to door addressing to engage with residents through consultative dialogue about all issues pertaining to gender-based violence and femicide while also encouraging the community to attend the upcoming GBVF awareness campaign. Pamphlets with crime prevention safety tips were distributed. At the end of campaign feedback in a questionnaire format was compiled and given to the sector commander. Ends
