Media Statement THABONG – Members of Sector 4 CPF continues through collaborative efforts to be the eyes and ears on the ground and ensuring safer communities by embarking on a Community in Blue patrol on the night of Thursday, 14 March 2024 from 20:00. These patrollers from Sub Sector 11 and 12 were working under the watchful eyes of Captain Malebo Khosana and Sergeant Ntombi Twala, Sector Commander and Sector Managers respectively. They stopped and searched persons for knives, drugs and housebreaking implements in a bid to prevent crimes such as common robbery, house and business burglary and damaging and theft of essential infrastructure. Members also conducted thorough patrols and searches at a vacant dilapidated house suspected to be a drug hideout for drug users where no suspicious persons nor suspicious activity was detected. A cattle post in the vicinity was also visited where about four farmers were guarding their livestock in an effort to prevent stock theft. When the shift ended, about 35 people were searched including their backpacks. No arrest was effected and no illegal objects were found. Ends
