Gayton McKenzie believes a Mitchells Plain pastor believes his instruction to Joslin Smith’s mother to remove her rosary necklace helped crack the case of the missing child.
Speaking in an open-air church service on Sunday, 3 March, Pastor Leon Jacobs also claimed that a breakthrough in the case would be made in “three days.”
On Wednesday, authorities confirmed that four adults were being questioned in the disappearance of the six-year-old. Police also claim that arrests are “imminent.”
Like Gayton – who has been active in the search – Jacobs is also a reformed convict.
PASTOR PREDICTED JOSLIN SMITH ‘BREAKTHROUGH’ IN 3 DAYS
In a Facebook post by Gayton McKenzie, the Patriotic Alliance leader reflected on his discussion with the pastor, which he believes is a “true prophetic declaration.”
He posted: “God works in mysterious ways. He [Leon Jacobs] told me that we would never solve this quickly for as long as Kelly is wearing beads [rosary] around her neck. I was low-key irritated because I am not interested in necklaces. I want to find Joslin.
“The same evening I dreamed about beads and this same pastor….he delivered a powerful sermon and made a public call to remove the beads.
“Immediately, Pastor Leon made a prophetic declaration that the case would be solved in three days”.

A true Prophetic declaration
God truly works in mysterious ways. I saw this gentlemen during one of our midnite searches, he approached me and introduced himself as pastor Leon Jacobs.
He told me that we will never solve this quickly for as long as Kelly is wearing beads “krale” around her neck. I was low-key irritated because I am not interested in necklaces I want to find Joshlin. I just smiled and said “I hear you Pastor “
Same evening I dreamed about beads and this very same pastor, I called him up the next morning and asked him to meet me at Tygerberg, he repeated the beads story.
I had so many great and big pastors asking to lead the service, we already asked Pastor Leon Dos Santos a man that walked day and night helping us to look for Joshlin. He told us that he cannot make it because his family had planned a full day for him in Joburg because it’s his bday.
My spirit convicted me to ask Pastor Leon, I never heard him preach, I was just convicted by my Spirit and he obliged when I asked him.
He delivered a powerful sermon and made a public call to remove the beads, I always thought it was a rosary but it is something different which resembles a holy rosary. She took it off.
Immediately Pastor Leon made a prophetic declaration that the case will be solved within 3 days. Everyone present there could feel the spirit of God at that particular point. The Spirt was moving and the atmosphere was changing. I knew immediately that Kelly & Boeta will escape with the help of the sangoma today. I got my security team to stop guarding me and guard these people for 3 days because I was convicted that God will show off and show up.
The case has been solved in 3 days, next phase is finding Joshlin, I call on each and everyone of us to continue praying. We the people of God knows when God calls upon us to call upon Him, now is that time, Prayer Works 🥹

Another video, posted on TikTok Live, revealed how Kelly claimed her beads had given her affirmation that her daughter Joslin was still alive.
She told a group of community members: “I’m Roman Catholic. This is a prayer of our church…the Our Father.”

GAYTON MCKENZIE: ‘THE SPIRIT WAS MOVING’
Gayton McKenzie continued that the pastor’s words had touched many people in the crowd. “My spirit convicted me,” he shared of choosing the religious leader to speak at the service.
He added: “The spirit was moving and the atmosphere was changing.”
Gayton has previously shot down information offered by psychics on the disappearance of Joslin.
One popular psychic – Kandis Starr – claimed in a viral video that Joslin was allegedly hurt by those close to her.
She’s also shared her belief that Joslin is deceased and was taken to a location “down a long, bumpy road.”
Responding to his followers who’ve tagged him in Kandis’s videos, Gayton responded: “I’m not listening to a psychic. Maybe other investigators can follow that up. I believe in prayer and the almighty God. You can’t believe in both”.
