Orlando Pirates to beat Sundowns to top target
Orlando Pirates are reportedly favourites to sign Congolese midfielder Karim Kimvuidi from Maritzburg United.
According to a Soccer Laduma report, Bucs are in pole position to nab the talent.
“As it stands, now Pirates are the favourites. I can’t divulge a lot of information right now because it may disturb the whole deal and both the club and the player may lose in the process,” a source told the publication.
“But what you should know is that what Pirates have offered is enticing and hard to resist. If Maritzburg United remain in the DStv Premiership next season there would be an exchange of players being involved as well and money added in the whole deal for Pirates. So, for now they are waiting for the playoffs to finish then they can finalise the deal as well.
“But as things stand now, Pirates stand a better chance of signing Karim (Kimvuidi) ahead of Sundowns. However, we all know what happens or what can happen in football. So, as I have said, let’s wait for the playoffs to finish and see what will happen.”

That’s news to us as we are still deciding on where he should go for next season,” Mulovhedzi told Masebe Qina of Soccer Laduma.
