Have you ever wondered how on earth can God love you as much as he loves Jesus? This used to puzzle me but I have lately learned something beautiful about God’s love. You see, God does not love us with different love than he loves Jesus. Instead, we are invited into God’s love. Do you see the difference?
God the Father loves God the Son and God the Spirit and vice versa. Their mutual love creates a space for us to enter. Hence, our place is in the middle of God’s love and the love we experience is the same love with which God loves Jesus. Think about it! It’s amazing!
“O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. 26 I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.” (John 17:25-26, NLT)
You are invited into God’s love
I think this is beyond wonderful, and overwhelmingly touching. God’s love towards us is not a sentiment or a principle, it’s reality. And we are invited to live in this reality. I can’t think of anything better than living in the divine space of love and letting God’s love and grace permeate every inch of me inside and out. I don’t have to live for one second without being supremely loved. You see, I am God’s beloved, that’s my identity. And it is yours too if you want to be his.
How wonderful it is that our triune God is love and he wants us to live in his love. We truly are blessed, don’t you think? God’s love for us is too great to ever understand fully. But we don’t need to understand, the main thing is to experience this amazing, endless love. It has all that we need inside it. All joy, all grace, all peace. We are all invited to live in this wonderful love, joy, grace, and peace that flows among the Holy Trinity. My response is a resounding yes. How about you?
Gracious, loving Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your invitation to live in your love.
We are delighted to do so.
How wonderful it is that your love is greater than anything we experience.
Be praised forever and ever.
In Jesus’ precious name,
Amen
P.S.
Isn’t it incredible how God’s love is more than we can imagine? It surrounds and fills us with his steadfast love. We can’t earn it, but by grace we are invited to live in it. We can’t own it but we can share it. How deeply we are loved and how wonderfully all has been arranged for us. Revel in God’s love and invite others into God’s love and grace! There is room for everyone! Be abundantly blessed!
