‘IT’S TIRING AND MENTALLY DAMAGING’: SIR TRILL ON THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
The Mpumalanga-born amapiano musician publicly announced that he was “tired” and mentally drained.
The Emlanjeni hitmaker shared that the music industry was “mentally damaging” and revealed that he was still broke after having dropped countless successful hits.
He Tweeted,
“It’s tiring and mentally damaging. So many hits and I’ve never seen a cent. I’m tired.”
In another Tweet, the musician added,
“I have never been an artist that talks much or exposes much. This will definitely be a joke to some of y’all [you]. Which I understand. But, it’s mentally damaging and exhausting. What are we working so much for?”

The post had tweets divided; while some poked fun at him and advised him to go on Podcast and Chill and do what Dr Malinga did when he was broke, others were genuinely supportive and urged him to get in touch with his lawyers to resolve his financial constraints.
But just as his fans were busy commenting on the posts, the Nkantin hitmaker had Tweep’s jaws dropping when he Tweeted another Tweet. His fans and followers were convinced he was insinuating taking his own life.
Sir Trill’s post read,
“Thank you to everyone who genuinely supports “SIR TRILL.” This will probably be my last tweet.”
This time, Tweeps were frightened about what the Yini Sdakwa hitmaker will do next.
According to iHarere, the musician’s cryptic tweets reminded fans about the late Ricky Rick incident.
They flooded Sir Trill’s comment section leaving concerned messages, and begged him not to consider taking his life if he was. The South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) also reached out to the musician and urged him to contact them and get help immediately.
The musician has not been seen on Twitter since.
