WHAT HAPPENED IN THE VIRAL CLIP?
In the clip, a person named Christopher Logan is seen confronting the “racist” proprietor of a pub – later recognized as Hank’s Olde Irish Pub in Cape Town – about his resolution to allegedly limit folks of color from coming into the institution.
According to Christopher, the pub’s bouncer questioned his black pal Thabiso Danca, who claimed he was “not allowed” to enter “without a white person.” According to the bouncer, this was as a result of pub’s proper of admission.

The proprietor then affords a sheepish apology to Thabiso after Christopher threatens to tell the general public in regards to the racial assault.

‘RACIST’ OWNER RESPONDS
Despite his “apology”, the proprietor of Hank’s Old Irish Pub did a U-turn on claims they discriminated in opposition to non-white patrons. They additionally denied claims that they had been “racist”.
In a press release to the SABC, they stated: “In the past 30 years of operating business in Cape Town, we as owners have never nor have we ordered our staff to discriminate on any basis whatsoever, whether that be gender, sexual orientation or race”.
