SASSA REVISES NOVEMBER 2026 SOCIAL GRANT PAYMENT DATES
NATIONAL: The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has announced revised social grant payment dates for November 2026 ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, 14 October, SASSA said the revised schedule followed consultations with stakeholders and approval from National Treasury to ensure smooth and secure grant payments during the election period.
Under the new schedule, the Older Persons Grant will be paid on Friday, 30 October, followed by the Disability Grant on Monday, 2 November, and Children’s Grants on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
SASSA said an additional payment date on 5 November has been set aside for beneficiaries whose grants are undergoing review.
The agency has urged beneficiaries to respond to official review notices and attend appointments when requested. It has also cautioned beneficiaries against visiting SASSA offices unnecessarily, advising them to follow the announced payment schedule and use official communication channels to verify information.
SASSA reiterated its commitment to ensuring eligible beneficiaries receive their grants efficiently and reliably during the election period.
