Volkswagen Recalls 291 Amarok Bakkies in South Africa Over Airbag Defect

Volkswagen Group Africa is recalling 291 Amarok bakkies sold nationwide between 2 June and 15 September 2026 over a curtain airbag defect.

The fault could prevent the airbag from fully deploying and expose occupants to sharp plastic parts.

Owners are urged to book a free repair at an approved VW Commercial Vehicles dealer.
