Mzansi Magic’s cancelled telenovela DiepCity scooped 5 South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs), adopted by e.television’s House of Zwide and Scandal! with 4 awards, Showmax’s hit telenovela The Wife gained two awards whereas 1Magic’s The River walked away with one award.

ABOUT THE SAFTAS 2022
The first night time of the occasion, titled Craft Awards was hosted by former Generations: The Legacy actress Candice Modiselle and TV character Smash Afrika on Friday, 2 September on YouTube. The foremost SAFTAs occasion was held on Saturday, 3 September on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) and S3 (Channel 193).
Media personalities Khutso Theledi and Expresso host Ryle De Monrny joined Mpho Popps on stage as hosts for the principle occasion.
Mzansi’s A-listers walked down the pink carpet wanting fabulous and widespread TV personalities Palesa Tembe and Lasizwe Dambuza hosted the pink carpet occasion.
