Maskandi Singer Saliwa Announces The Postponement OF THE NDONI SALIWA MUSIC FESTIVAL

MASKANDI Saliwa Ndunakazi has announced the postponement of his annual Ndoni Saliwa Music Festival.

The event was scheduled to take place on 10 October but due to unforeseen circumstances and lack of sponsorship they had no other choice but to postpone the event.

“To the fans of the Ndoni Saliwa Music Festival, music lovers, and our nation. We would like to start by thanking you immensely for the love, support, and for standing with us throughout all these years. We are deeply grateful to all our fans who always support us, attend our events, and continue to believe in what we do.

“Indeed, our fans are the most important part of the Ndoni Saliwa Music Festival. Your love, support, and loyalty have enabled us to continue with this event year after year. With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that the Ndoni Saliwa Music Festival, which was scheduled to take place on 10 October 2026 at the Siyabonga Sangweni Sports Complex in Dondotha, KwaMbonambi, KwaZulu-Natal, will no longer take place as planned,” the statement reads.

The statement further said the reason for the postponement of this event is financial challenges.

” This year, we were unable to secure the necessary sponsors and financial backing required to run the event properly. This was not an easy decision to make. We know that many of you were looking forward to this event and making preparations to come and celebrate with us. That is why we extend our sincerest apologies to everyone affected. We are deeply sorry to our fans, the artists, vendors, partners, and everyone who had prepared to be a part of the Ndoni Saliwa Music Festival.

“We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the Mfolozi Municipality for being a part of and intervening to support our past events. We highly appreciate your support and the contribution you have made toward developing events, arts, culture, and sports in our community,” the statement reads.

Organisers further thanked the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts and Culture for the support, collaboration, and contribution you have made to our past projects and events.

“Your partnership has been an essential part of helping our events continue to reach the community. To us, this collaboration is not just a reminder of past events, but a treasure that we will always love and appreciate.”

Regarding the issue of tickets sales, they said: “For those who have already purchased tickets for the event, you can request a refund by following the procedure corresponding to the platform or outlet where you purchased your ticket. We kindly ask for your patience while the refund process is being handled.

“We know this news is disappointing, especially for those who were looking forward to us gathering on 10 October 2026. We are deeply sorry for this disruption and ask that you accept our heartfelt apologies.”
