New trophy unveiled for 2026 Engen Champ of Champs
The Engen Champ of Champs has unveiled a brand-new trophy ahead of the 2026 tournament, with a fresh design that celebrates the talent and ambition of South Africa’s emerging football stars.
The contemporary trophy features a seamlessly integrated football at its centre, symbolising the link between youth development, emerging talent and the game itself.
More than just a prize for the eventual champions, the new trophy represents the growth of the tournament and the increasingly competitive standard of youth football showcased at the event.
The unveiling also highlights Engen’s continued investment in youth football and its efforts to create meaningful opportunities for young players.
This year’s tournament carries the theme “Where Diski Legends Start”, reflecting the competition’s role in the development journey of players hoping to reach higher levels of the game.
The trophy was unveiled on Tuesday, 29 September, during the Engen Champ of Champs draw, where 18 teams were divided into their respective groups.
The teams are equally split between the Boys’ Under-18 and Girls’ Under-20 divisions.
The 2026 Engen Champ of Champs takes place at the High-Performance Centre in Pretoria from 2–4 October 2026.
