Taxi Boss Joe Sibanyoni Distances Himself from ‘Kwaggafontein 20’ Messaging, Admits Prior Talks on Alleged Group
Taxi Boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni has stated that he does not know why Bafana Sindane sent him a message regarding the arrest of alleged members of the “Kwaggafontein 20”, or why Sindane believed he would be interested in the matter.
However, he acknowledged that he and Sindane had previously discussed the group and its alleged criminal activities.
Sibanyoni also revealed that he questioned his nephew, Mandla Mahlangu, about his alleged involvement with the syndicate.
He claimed that Mandla denied being part of the group and claimed he did not know why police had shot him during a law enforcement operation.
According to Sibanyoni, the text message concerning the arrests came as a surprise.
While he confirmed that the “Kwaggafontein 20” was a topic of prior conversation between himself and Sindane, he maintained that he has no personal stake or interest in the group’s legal troubles.
He could not provide an explanation for why Sindane flagged the arrests specifically for him.
The situation hits closer to home for Sibanyoni due to the injury of his nephew, Mandla, in a recent police operation targeting the alleged ring.
Upon confronting him about the incident Mandla strongly denied any association with the Kwaggafontein 20.
Mandla claimed to be an innocent bystander or falsely targeted.
Sibanyoni stated he remains unaware of the reasons behind the police’s decision to open fire on him.
