Broadcaster and journalist Phila Mthembu has finally opened up about his sudden resignation from the news channel Newzroom Afrika back in March, revealing that the past six months have been incredibly difficult for him.

He admitted that he often found himself having to comfort disappointed fans, reassuring them that he would return to television soon, even while he was secretly battling his own internal struggles.
He noted that answering these repetitive questions was never easy, especially since the public expected a detailed explanation regarding his decision to walk away from the station.
