Pitso Mosimane isn’t wasting any time getting reflective — the work has already begun.
Freshly appointed for a second stint in charge of Bafana Bafana, Mosimane is now settled into his first camp with the national team as South Africa gears up for crucial CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
And true to form, “Jingles” wasted no time addressing the moment on his own terms.
“And so, the work has started,” Mosimane wrote on his official social media platforms. “It is a privilege to once again serve my country and lead our national team.”
It’s a statement dripping with symbolism — a coach given a second chance to write his name into Bafana history, fully aware of the magnitude of what’s riding on it.
“The responsibility is enormous, but so is the pride,” he continued. “We know what lies ahead. We know what this badge means to millions of South Africans.”

With AFCON qualification on the line and a nation watching closely, the pressure is real. But if his message is anything to go by, so is his hunger to deliver.
Bafana host Guinea at Orlando Amstel Arena for the first match on Saturday afternoon – the game starts at 3pm.
They will then travel to Egypt where they will meet Eritrea in the second game, and later play a friendly against The Pharoah’ on October 4.
