Seven teen girls arrested for assault in Bellevue, Johannesburg

Seven girls aged 13 to 14 were arrested on May 10, 2025, after allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Bellevue, Johannesburg.

A viral video of the incident circulated online, prompting authorities to open a case of common assault.

The minors were released into the custody of their parents under the Child Justice Act.

They appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court today, May 19.
