BOITHUSO – At approximately 08:15 on Wednesday, 2 April 2025, police responded to a reported inquest at Section N in Boithuso. Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased individual suspended by a rope from the roof in a seated position. The deceased was barefoot and had an open wound on the right side of his forehead. Preliminary investigations revealed that a physical altercation occurred between the deceased, his wife and the suspect. It was also alleged that the three had been consuming alcohol. It was further alleged that the altercation escalated, leading to the wife and the deceased to seek refuge in a bedroom, where they locked the door. The suspect then allegedly forcibly opened the bedroom door. Following this, the suspect is alleged to have assaulted the deceased with a brick, inflicting the head wound and the victim ended up hanging on the roof. The 31-year-old was arrested for murder and a full investigation was launched. He will appear in the Botshabelo Magistrate court soon. Ends
